Novel Reaction is excited to welcome author Grace Burrowes as part of her Release Week Blitz for Too Scot to Handle, the second book in the Windham Brides series. As our regular readers are aware, here at Novel Reaction, we enjoy a good discussion about our favorite Books-to-Movies adaptations and Grace has been good enough to share with us her Top 5:
1. Jane Eyre (Toby Stephens version of Mr. Rochester)
2. Pride and Prejudice (natch), and yes, Colin Firth for the list
3. Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993, though the 1963 version is great too)
4. The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939)
5. Captain Sharpe series
The 2006 BBC mini-series version of Jane Eyre is one of my favorite adaptations as well and you can read my analysis of the novel verses the movie here. I will have to add Homeward Bound to the list of Books-to-Movies to read and watch, I haven’t seen the 1963 version of Homeward Bound and now need to track down a copy to watch for the analysis. Have you seen either one? What did you think?
Thanks Grace for sharing with us some of your favorite movies. Too Scot To Handle is available on mass market paperback and ebook, you can read my review here. You can find out more about Grace and her publisher at the following locations:

Anya Best willingly put herself as bait in an attempt to catch The Copper Killer, the serial killer who killed her sister and who will be picking a new victim soon. Lethal Lies by Rebecca Zanetti begins with Anya challenging the killer on national t.v. and naming Heath Jones as her fiance.
Heath Jones has been working the Copper Killer case and feels responsible for the deaths of the women he hasn’t been able to save from the killer. When Anya names Heath as her fiance. Heath has no choice but to try and save the beautifully compelling Anya, even though being in the spotlight might reveal the secrets he has spent most of this life hiding.
Lethal Lies is the second book in the Blood Brothers series, a spinoff from the Sin Brothers series. While you can read Lethal Lies as a stand alone novel, I recommend reading Deadly Silence first, so you have a better understanding of the secrets Heath is working so hard to keep and the dynamics of protagonists. I really enjoy Zanetti’s books, the action is intense, the super soldier brothers (while not unique) is well done, and importance of family bonds, both the need to protect each other, and the need to have someone to love you no matter what are fantastic. My only issue is when the novel switches to the viewpoint of the protagonists, I feel like Zanetti gets a bit too descriptive in their thought process/twisted sexual nature, which is why Lethal Lies got a four star instead of a five star rating from me. I am looking forward to reading about Denver in Twisted Truths.
