Cupid Gone WildHello from Cupid 2-14, of Love Potion No. 2-14.

Valentine’s Day is coming up and I have been asked to share how I feel about the holiday. Well, I hate it, absolutely hate it! Not that I don’t love romance and all the things Valentine’s Day stands for. I do. Really, I do. But you can’t imagine the hours we have to put in building up to the busiest day of the year for Cupids. You think the Easter Bunny has it bad? Hah! His holiday is a walk in the park compared to ours.

And why is it they always run short on arrows just when the push is on leading up to the big day? Some of these Cupid Cadets must be really bad shots. Me? I’m a big believer in the old Earth military rule, “One shot, one kill.” Not that I mean that literally, of course. But I do think if you shoot at something, you should hit it on the first try. Either that or the Powers That Be should do the math and order a larger stock of arrows. Nah, that would make our job too easy.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love my work. I get a real kick out of making people fall in love. But it’s tough working twenty-plus hours a day for the two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day. Sleet or snow, sun or rain—and believe me, a rain soaked diaper is the pits. At least the two weeks after February fourteenth, we do get our annual vacation, so I can sit on a tropical beach and drink Mai Tais—hey, I may wear a diaper for a uniform, but I’m a lot older than I look.

Now you may have heard about the story featuring my exploits as a Cupid in Love Potion No. 2-14? I am taking part – with four other Cupids, in the 2011 Cupid Challenge to match the most unlikely couple. Well the story has been leaked, why I get to be here today telling you about the real job we Cupids do. Now, some of the other Cupids criticized me for matching a witch with a cop for the Challenge, but I think my selection showed smarts. And terrific aim.

Sure, I know the witch could have cheated and used a spell or a potion on the cop. But she didn’t. No, she’s an honorable witch. Wouldn’t want to force her will on another. No matter that she loved the jerk. But lucky for her, I don’t have that problem. Nope, absolutely no honor among Cupids. After all, haven’t you heard? All’s fair in love and war. Well, love and war are pretty much the same thing in my experience, but so long as it only takes one arrow, I’m good with it.
The other Cupids are running around the internet and throwing accusations at each other, heck there is a hash tag to follow us on twitter! – #cgw11 – I am there under pepperoneal

Since this is a Challenge and there has to be a winner you can go and vote as a reader. There is even a chance to WIN a Kindle at the eTreasures Publishing Blog. So take a gander at my story, Love Potion No. 2-14 and see if you don’t agree that my choice was perfect for the Valentine’s Day Challenge. Then you can go and vote for me. Oh and if you want to read ALL of the stories then check out the anthology. I will be giving a copy of MY story away here though. Leave a comment and enter to win.

But do me a favor and don’t tell anyone I had a little help from the cat. I’d never live it down!

Why Ratings?
It is true you can't judge a book by its cover, you also can't judge a book's graphic content by its cover. NovelReaction's goal is to provide readers with a graphic content so they can make an informed decision regarding the books they want to read. (Also, to have a great place for people to discuss books.) So sit back, pull up a beverage, and read on!
Ratings*

1 = kissing
2 = kissing, some fondling
3 = descriptive stripping but no sex
4 = sex scene but not descriptive in details
5 = full descriptive sex scene

*I am rating a specific book by an author, not the author's style. If I am aware an author writes a specific way, I will let you know.
