Because you can't judge a book by its cover

Molly Canaday has never been the delicate Southern flower that her parents want her to be. In Last Chance Knit & Stitch by Hope Ramsay, Molly loves her job rebuilding the bodies of cars and has big plans for her future, plans that don’t include marriage or a man. But when Molly’s mother leaves town and puts Molly in charge of the Knit & Stitch yarn shop, Molly finds herself re-evaluating her choices but is she willing to risk what she knows for the unknown?!

Simon Wolfe has returned to Last Chance for the first time since he left at 18 for the funeral of his father. Planning on immediately returning to his life in California, Simon is upset when he discovers that he has to stay to deal with his father’s estate, shocked to find his mother in the condition she is. Waiting for time to pass, Simon is surprised when he meets up with Molly again, when he left town she was a child but she has grown into a passionate attractive woman. Will the ghosts of Simon’s past continue to affect his present or will he be able to finally move past them?

I am a big fan of Ramsay’s Last Chance series, the small town is charming and Ramsay’s characters are nosy, quirky and entirely lovable. Last Chance Knit & Stitch is not my favorite of the series (with so many to choose from it is hard to have a favorite) but it is a good addition to the series. Molly is a strong woman who has spent so much time fighting against what her parents think she should and planning for her future dreams that she hasn’t stopped to really think about what her choices mean long-term. Simon is an older brooding hero who is struggling to move past the events of his childhood (which would be difficult, I am not going to say anything because I don’t want to give it away).  Last Chance Knit & Stitch is the ninth book in the Last Chance series and it is a stand alone novel, although I recommend reading the entire series.  I always love the chance to revisit Last Chance (that sounded smoother in my head) and Last Chance Knit & Stitch is a great way to do that.

Why Ratings?
It is true you can't judge a book by its cover, you also can't judge a book's graphic content by its cover. NovelReaction's goal is to provide readers with a graphic content so they can make an informed decision regarding the books they want to read. (Also, to have a great place for people to discuss books.) So sit back, pull up a beverage, and read on!
