Josie fell in love with Shane the minute she met him, a whirlwind three weeks later they were married and then one day Shane just disappeared leaving Josie with questions and no way to get a divorce. In Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti, Josie is contacted by a hospital stating that her husband Shane is there suffering from amnesia. Josie finds herself conflicted, take in the man who abandoned her two years ago because he might recover his memory and finally give her some of the answers she has been looking for or leave him to suffer alone like he left her all alone.
Shane Dean wakes up in a hospital with no memory of who he is or how he got there but the one thing he does remember, his love for Josie but he is shocked to find out that he has abandoned her. He realizes the one thing he must get right in his life is his relationship with Josie so it is up to him to win her back even with danger surrounding the both of them and it might take all of his inexplicable skills to keep both of them alive.
Forgotten Sins is an interesting beginning to a new series by Rebecca Zanetti. The novel was intriguing and totally went in a direction I wasn’t expecting at the beginning of the novel (I won’t get into detail because of spoilers but not what I was expecting at all), the relationship between Shane and his brothers was fabulous (I am always a sucker for a good family relationship story) but, I felt like there was a little too much whining on the part of Josie about her life and Shane abandoning her. Not that it wasn’t a pivotal part of the novel because it was, it just felt like it went on a little long. I am giving it a three star because of it but I am going to keep reading the Sin Brothers series even with the three star rating. Be aware that Forgotten Sins was originally released as an ebook and is now being released in print.
