The Girl With The Iron Touch by Kady Cross Review

gogglesThe crew has returned to England after their adventures in America in The Girl in the Clockwork Collar but when Emily is kidnapped, the crew will have to pull together to figure out what happened to her. In The Girl with the Iron Touch  by Kady Cross, Emily is shocked to wake up underground in the control of some strange automatons. The automatons are trying to help The Machinist return after the crew defeated him in The Girl in the Clockwork Collar.

Griffin is running into problems in the Aether and is trying to keep it from the crew. Sam is trying desperately to find Emily and Jasper has gone of to help on old friend from America. Jayne starts to worry that she won’t be able to get everyone together and working as a team in time to save Emily.

The Girl with the Iron Touch is a nice addition to the Steampunk Chronicles. The crew is growing up with all the characters having to make tough decisions and live with the consequences causing some regret but interesting character development. Unlike the previous three novels in the Steampunk ChroniclesThe Girl with the Iron Touch  rates as a four on the content rating. While there isn’t an actual descriptive sex scene, there is some descriptive making out and they refer to the scene without actually showing the scene think of it as the camera panning away. Steampunk Chronicles are a nice read for those interested in trying the Steampunk genre without getting into the hardcore steampunk genre.
