Because you can't judge a book by its cover

Brody Creed left home after fighting with his twin brother and has been on the road ever since but Brody has decided it is time to go home, now if he can just fix everything he left behind. In The Creed’s Legacy by Linda Lael Miller begins where Creed’s Honor left off (you can read my review of Creed’s Honor here), Brody has returned home and is building his dream house but seeing all his family happily married is a constant reminder of how empty his new house is going to be.

Carolyn Simmons has spent years caring for other people’s houses but she has finally decided it is time to move on with her own life.  She has opened a store with Tricia McCall, now Tricia Creed, and has an apartment and a cat. She joins an online dating service hoping to find the man of her dreams but despite all the interested guys she finds herself drawn to Brody, the man who broker her heart years before.

The Creed’s Legacy by Linda Lael Miller started off slower than the previous Creed’s novels for me. It was great to finally get Brody and Carolyn’s back story and find out exactly what happened to them but I just kept feeling like if Brody would just talk to Carolyn everything could have been resolved in about 100 pages.  That being said, I enjoyed the story. I always enjoy Miller’s themes of family and family heritage.

Why Ratings?
It is true you can't judge a book by its cover, you also can't judge a book's graphic content by its cover. NovelReaction's goal is to provide readers with a graphic content so they can make an informed decision regarding the books they want to read. (Also, to have a great place for people to discuss books.) So sit back, pull up a beverage, and read on!
