Because you can't judge a book by its cover

Conner Creed has always been the good twin, staying home to take care of the ranch left to him and his brother by their father and cared for by their Uncle. Everything is great until Conner’s twin comes home. In Creed’s Honor by Linda Lael Miller Conner is having a hard time accepting that his brother is back and wanting his share of the ranch. To further complicate matters Conner has been getting close to Tricia McCall, a woman only in town for a short time.

Tricia McCall has returned to Lonesome Bend only long enough to sell the property left to her by her father. But as the property takes longer to sell than she expected and Tricia finds herself drawn more and more to Conner she starts to wonder if the dream she is trying to pursue is the wrong one.

I really enjoyed A Creed in Stone Creek (you can read my review here) so I was excited that the twin cousins who were always fighting in that novel got their own story. Conner really is the good son from the Prodigal Son story, while he brother went of rodeoing he stayed home taking care of the ranch, just paying out checks to his brother for his half of the proceeds from the profitability of the ranch.  As always, Linda Lael Miller’s contemporary westerns are the perfect blend of western charm and modern reality. For me it is always about the secondary characters, many authors can get the hero/heroinne right but if they don’t have good secondary characters it just doesn’t do it for me but Miller’s characters are great! I loved Tricia’s Nana and can’t wait to get the background story on Brody, Carolyn and the beat up truck in The Creed Legacy.

Why Ratings?
It is true you can't judge a book by its cover, you also can't judge a book's graphic content by its cover. NovelReaction's goal is to provide readers with a graphic content so they can make an informed decision regarding the books they want to read. (Also, to have a great place for people to discuss books.) So sit back, pull up a beverage, and read on!
