The Romance Writers of America have posted the nominees of the 2011 RITA and Golden Heart finalists. Congrats to all the finalists, I am always pleased to see many of the authors I like in the lists.

Jennifer L. Armentrout has released the cover for Daimon: The Prequel to Half-Blood. I love the covers on the entire series, the flaming flowers are amazing.

Author Shannon Stacey, with a trilogy published by Carina Press, will be published in mass market by Harlequin in January, February and March 2012. I have been impressed by the quality of writing by Carina Press and am excited to see one of their authors move into the mass market press.

Red House Books has declared April to be NetGalley month, a time for reviewers to catch up on their NetGalley lists. I wish I had the time to participate in this because my NetGalley que is a little out of control, maybe in June I can do a personal one. 🙂

So you can’t get a legal copy of Harry Potter on your email but you will soon be able to rent the movie through facebook, this seems a little messed up to me. (Mostly because I would rather not try to balance my hardbound copy of book seven when I reread it in July in preparation of the release of Part II movie.)

Amazon has announced that the latest Kindle owners will now be able to download and play Audible.com audio books.

Walden Media has announced that the next Chronicles of Narnia movie to be made will be The Magician’s Nephew, I have to admit I am disappointed because my favorite is The Horse and His Boy but they have done an amazing job so far on the movies so I am sure this one will be just as good.

On a sad note, Dianna Wynne Jones, author of Howl’s Moving Castle, has passed away this past week.
