Because you can't judge a book by its cover

Novel Reaction is very excited to be participating in the Out for Blood blog tour! Out for Blood is the third book in the Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey and is about Quinn, one of the twins. In addition to the blog tour, you can find great give aways and contests on the facebook pages of Bloomsbury Teen, The Drake Chronicles and Alyxandra Harvey. You can also find Alyxandra Harvey’s playlist for each of the characters here.

Out for Blood

Bleeding Hearts (November 2011)

I am very excited to post that Bloomsbury has given us a sneak peek at the fourth book, Bleeding Heart:

POVs: Lucy, Christabel, Connor

Description from Bloomsbury website

The Drakes and friends will be tested when an infestation of deadly vampires threatens Violet Hill. Lucy’s cousin Christabel has come to live in Violet Hill, and adjusting to the difference between life in a small mountain town and her home in the city is difficult enough. The strict curfew that Lucy’s parents enforce is the worst part. Something really dangerous couldn’t possibly happen in this tiny town. But Christabel has noticed some mysterious happenings, and it seems like Lucy, her boyfriend Nicholas and his brother Connor are all in on a secret that Christabel doesn’t understand—one that seems deadly serious. Although she won’t admit it, Christabel would love to be in on any secret with Connor Drake. But when she is kidnapped by the ruthless Hel-Blar vampires, Christabel must cause more and more trouble in Violet Hill, Lucy and Connor finally fill Christabel in on all the undead drama. Together, they must find a way to stamp out the Hel-Blar for good.

In addition to her great Drake Chronicles series, Alyxandra Harvey is releasing a new series in June 2011. Haunting Violet is a Victorian ghost story and you can read an excerpt here.

    I haven’t read any of these books. My husband loves the Twilight series!! I’m sure he’d enjoy reading these.

    I’m not sure which sibling is my favorite but the first book was my favorite of the first two. I can’t wait to get my hands on Out For Blood! Unfortunately I seem to be unable to do so 🙁 So finger’s crossed here!
    I don’t really like vampire movies so much, but I do love the books and this series is at the top of the list!

    I have not read the series but would love to someday. My fave vampire book would have to be Twilight Saga. 🙂 I also love the movie Queen of the Damned.

Why Ratings?
It is true you can't judge a book by its cover, you also can't judge a book's graphic content by its cover. NovelReaction's goal is to provide readers with a graphic content so they can make an informed decision regarding the books they want to read. (Also, to have a great place for people to discuss books.) So sit back, pull up a beverage, and read on!
Graphic Ratings*

1 = kissing
2 = kissing, some fondling
3 = descriptive stripping but no sex
4 = sex scene but not descriptive in details
5 = full descriptive sex scene

*I am rating a specific book by an author, not the author's style. If I am aware an author writes a specific way, I will let you know.
